EGU General Assembly 2025

8 May 2025

The European Geosciences Union (EGU) General Assembly took place from Sunday 27 April to Friday 4 May. Held annually in Vienna, it is the largest of its kind in Europe, attracting over 20 thousand registered attendees to present and engage in discussions spanning Earth, planetary and space sciences.

The conference provided an ideal opportunity for PolarRES researchers to showcase their latest findings as the project enters its final phase. Several project researchers delivered presentations in oral and poster sessions. Below you can find an overview of PolarRES presentations.

To make the most of our time together in sunny Vienna, we also had dinner on Tuesday at the beautiful St. Ulrichsplatz. A perfect way to unwind after a packed day of presentations. Throughout the event, we also took the opportunity to conduct interviews that explored the presented research in greater depth. These will be published online in the coming weeks so keep an eye on our social media channels and website to make sure you do not miss a thing!
