Call for abstracts for PolarRES sessions at European Geosciences Union (EGU) General Assembly 2024
15 November 2023
PolarRES researchers are soliciting abstracts for three sessions organised as part of the European Geosciences Union (EGU) General Assembly in Vienna in 2024.
When: 14-19 April 2024
Where: Vienna, Austria and Online
Deadlines
Travel funding: 1 December 2024 at 13:00 CET
Abstract Submission: 10 January 2024 at 13:00 CET
CR7.7 Atmosphere-ocean-sea ice interactions in the polar climate system
Following a successful session at last year’s EGU, PolarRES researchers are delighted to announce that they will organise this session again in 2024. They are welcoming contributions on atmosphere-ocean-sea-ice interactions from modelling and observational studies on a multitude of temporal and spatial scales.
AS3.6 Polar Aerosols and Clouds
PolarRES researchers invite your contribution the CRiceS and PolarRES-led Polar Aerosols and Clouds session. They are looking forward to seeing your latest results from modelling, remote sensing and in-situ observations presented as part of this session.
CL4.11 Storyline-based climate attribution, projection, process understanding, and
impacts
This session welcomes contributions spanning the following topics:
- changing climate signals and impacts in specific (extreme) weather events;
- pseudo-global-warming experiments;
- nudged simulations;
- extraction of physically plausible (regional) climate change scenarios;
or any combination of the above or other approaches seeking to unravel climate change and, ultimately, provide actionable climate outcomes.
We look forward to seeing you in Vienna or online!
